57 miles :: trip total 192 miles Luftberg Farm B&B
Today was a
too long, very warm day. We took few pictures.
In this section of Ohio, small country stores and many restaurant doors have been
shuttered, if not by earlier hard times, by the "long-year" of Covid. Those that remain open display help-wanted signs.
By the end of the day, we had entered hill country: the
rides down hills were exhilarating and cooling, and the rides up were
made easier with our small front wheel motors. We believe we could not do this trip
without them.
We arrived about 7:00 at the Luftberg Farm B&B after eating dinner in Butler at the Whiffle Tree--where young staff seemed to be in a pleasant frenzy trying to get every order in order. At the B&B, our
gracious hosts, Jen and Brian (retired nurse and high school science
teacher), welcomed us warmly. Their beautiful home on 38 acres commands a
stunning view of the nearby Amish farms below.
We slept soundly.
