Days Zero

Six days: Fort Collins, Colorado to Milford, Ohio, June 2 through June 7, 2021

About 1300 automobile miles.

We  stopped for coffee at a favorite coffee house in a fine town on the eastern plains of Colorado, Wray;

Opened the wounds of a genocidal tragedy at Cherry Creek encampment;

Visited the Cathedral of the Plains in Victoria, Kansas;

Found Dwight Eisenhower and good Mexican Food in Abilene;

Crossed paths with our Katy-Trail-Route-66 cycling tour  of 2009 in Dutzow, Missouri;

Educated ourselves on the Mississippian Culture and related earlier Native American cultures at Cahokia Mounds in Illinois, just across the Mississippi in Illinois;

Met the Little Miami River in Milford, Ohio;

And using that as our base we prepared for our cycling trip and visited Cincinnati's National Underground Railroad Freedom Center with niece Roxanne Graf and family.
